Bio:
Phyllis Arthur is the Vice President for Infectious Diseases and Diagnostics Policy at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO). In this role, she works with member companies in vaccines, molecular diagnostics and bio-defense on policy, legislative and regulatory issues. Prior to joining BIO, she worked in numerous marketing and sales positions for Merck & Co., Inc. in their Vaccine Division and helped launch several exciting new vaccines in the United States and internationally, including the first HPV vaccine GARDASIL. Ms. Arthur holds a B.A. in Economics and International Politics from Goucher College and an M.B.A from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
