Bio:
Christy Gray has worked with the Division of Immunization of VDH since 2009. She works within the Virginia Immunization Information System team concentrating on data quality, data exchange, and strategic planning. She has been director of the Division of Immunization since 2017.
Gray has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Virginia Tech and a master’s degree in public health from George Washington University. Before her tenure at VDH, she worked with an advocacy agency focusing on worker safety, foodborne illness, and zoonotic diseases handling key technical regulatory and legislative affairs. She has been active in the COVID-19 response initially with testing and co-leading the vaccine response.
